Gallatin Department of Electricity Celebrates Opening of New Facility

The Gallatin Department of Electricity celebrated the grand opening of its expanded facility, nearly doubling its space with upgraded truck bays, a modern fuel center, and improved crew accommodations to support rapid growth and improved service. The expansion reflects GDE’s significant customer growth and ongoing commitment to enhancing response times, operational efficiency, and service to the Gallatin community.

GDE’s Jones Street Expansion Nears Completion

The Gallatin Department of Electricity is nearing completion of the first phase of a major $33 million expansion, which will nearly double its office space and significantly increase truck bay and equipment capacity to support rapid customer growth.

For Pedigo, GDE was there every step of the way

Jared Pedigo, a Gallatin High graduate, began his career with the Gallatin Department of Electricity through a high school internship and has since grown into the utility’s first licensed Professional Engineer. His journey reflects GDE’s commitment to developing local talent and highlights the expanding opportunities within the rapidly growing electric power industry in Gallatin.
