GDE is seeking applicants for an Apprentice Lineworker. We will accept applications until April 27th at 4PM. Upon completion of an application review, individuals selected will be called for a climbing, abilities, and knowledge test that will take place on May 4th. 4th Year Apprentice Lineworker
POSITION SUMMARY:
The 4th Year Apprentice Lineworker
The employee
will perform work involved in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical
distribution facilities. Both primary and secondary facilities may have to be worked while energized with
a Journeyman Lineworker present.
3rd Year Apprentice Lineworker
POSITION SUMMARY:
The 3rd Year Apprentice Lineworker
works under the supervision of the General
Foreman and the Assistant General Foreman, Working Line Foreman, Lead Lineworker, and Journeyman
Lineworker but this position requires the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The employee
will perform work involved in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical
distribution facilities. Both primary and secondary facilities may have to be worked while energized with
a Journeyman Lineworker
2nd Year Apprentice Lineworker
POSITION SUMMARY:
The 2nd Year Apprentice Lineworker
works under the supervision of the General
Foreman, Working Line Foreman, Lead Lineworker, and Journeyman Lineworker but this position requires
the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The employee will perform work involved in the
construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities. Primary
facilities must be worked while de-energized and grounded. Secondary facilities may have to be worked
while energized.
1st Year Apprentice Lineworker
POSITION SUMMARY:
A 1st Year Apprentice Lineworker works under the supervision of the General
Foreman, Working Line Foreman, Lead Lineworker, and Journeyman Lineworker but this position requires
the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The employee will perform work involved in the
construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities. Both primary
and secondary facilities must be worked while de-energized and grounded. The Apprentice Lineworker
also maintains high work standards to ensure uninterrupted or quick restoration of service to consumers.
